This is a little late, but I wanted to share some pictures from St. Patrick’s day with you non-facebook users. St. Patrick’s day weekend in Chicago was like nothing I have ever experienced before. It was such a blast! On Saturday (3/16), we started our morning early. We ate a quick breakfast and hopped on the crowed el to head to the parade. We were lucky to get a seat. The atmosphere downtown was amazing! The streets were flooded with people dressed in green. To be completely honest, I did not watch much of the parade. We ran into some friends right by the parade route and I spent most of my time chatting with them. After looking at pictures of the parade that I snapped over people’s heads, I don’t think I missed much…
We decided not to check out the green Chicago River on Saturday. It was a little too chilly and there were a few too many people downtown. So, on Sunday (the actual day of St. Patrick’s day), two of my friends and I went downtown to check it out. It was so bizarre! The river was actually green. Not a gross murky green, but a true, vibrant green. Waiting to see the river worked out really well. There were no large clouds and the weather was much nicer!
