“We can still do anything.” Of course I can still do anything! But why don’t I? As I take on more and more responsibility, I want to remember to take a step back from time to time and make sure I’m not stuck in the current of life.
I used to be extremely stubborn once I formed an opinion.
One example, Miley Cyrus. I couldn’t stand to watch Hannah Montana because Miley Cyrus bothered me so much. A few years ago when she was diving into her rebellious stage, she started to grow on me. But there was something telling me not to let that happen. I distinctly remember thinking how wrong that was. I can change my mind! What on earth was my own self telling me I couldn’t do so.
So, as the late Marina Keegan said so beautifully, “We can change our minds.” We can change our path.
Our society pressures us to research and calculate our next moves. Have a plan (and probably a backup plan), but be okay with ditching it. Follow your dreams before you can’t dig yourself out of the excuses.
I want to challenge myself. Question my opinions. And ditch the plan from time to time.
Cheers to the weekend!
