Sanibel, Florida (Part II)

Happy Birthday, Morfar!

We all biked over to Morfar’s campsite the morning of March 23rd to kickoff his birthday. It is a Danish tradition to wake people with song on special days. Of course, the surprise was busted when we passed him on his way to the restroom.

Morfar’s famous line is It’s not too bad. The saying made it onto shirts that followed with …to be your granddaughter or …to be your son.

The afterparty

We threw a “surprise” party for Morfar later in the evening at the condos. We told him what to wear and when to show up. Obviously, he knew we were all there, but he did not know that we catered appetizers and dinner and hired a professional photographer to take family photos. It was a beautiful evening! I am excited to see the photos from the professional photographer.
