Chicago has been rockin’ since the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup on Monday night! I worked at Trump the night of the game (of all places), so I completely missed the entire game. Fortunately, I was off at 10 p.m. and able to make it to Wrigley to celebrate with my friends. The celebration after the game was like nothing I have ever seen before! North Clark St. and Addison were completely closed down and full with people. Check out more pictures from the night of the win here. My friend is in the very first photo!
The victory parade on Thursday was just as great as the celebration the night of the win. Once again, the streets were completely overtaken by Blackhawks fans. Michigan Ave. was even shut down (they don’t even do that for the St. Patrick’s Day parade)! My friends and I weren’t able to get tickets for the post-parade rally at Soldier Field, so we headed to a rooftop bar instead. If you live in the Chicago area, I highly recommend checking out Cindy’s on the rooftop of Chicago Athletic Association Hotel. It has reasonably priced drinks and a great view of Millennium Park.
